Meet our remarkable performers

Cherry Rivera (they/them) is a Miami-born-and-raised actor with a passion for all things campy, creepy, and quirky. A true creative firecracker, Cherry brings characters to life through a love of cosplay, costume design, and transformative makeup. Performing runs deep in their roots—coming from a family of Cuban-Lebanese artists, including a great aunt who starred in iconic Cuban films and telenovelas, Cherry naturally inherited a captivating stage confidence and a rich, low-timbre voice that can vibrate a room.

Cherry’s theatrical journey began in Hialeah High’s theater magnet program, where they performed in musicals, plays, show choir, and One Act / I.E. festivals while discovering a talent for singing and theatrical makeup. They went on to earn a strong reputation in the local theater scene while studying at MDC North Campus, starring in productions of Godspell, The Theory of Relativity, Extremities, and The Spitfire Grill, as well as completing an internship with City Theatre for their 2019 Summer Shorts production.

Cherry further honed their craft in the acting program at the New World School of the Arts (NWSA), undergoing extensive vocal and physical training while performing in Angels in America, Hedda Gabler, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, and Libation Bearers.

Recent regional theater credits include Entr'Acte Theatrix's The Rocky Horror Show (2025) as The Usherette, Eddie, and Ensemble, and The Wizard of Oz (2026) as The Wicked Witch of the West.

Beyond the stage, Cherry is a versatile artist skilled in playwriting, poetry, sketching, interpretive dance, vocal harmonization, cosplay, and cooking.
